Robbers beat up woman for only having $37 in bank account

Furious that a woman only had RM100 (S$37) in her bank account, two robbers beat her unconscious at an ATM kiosk, reported Harian Metro.

The 24-year-old woman fainted during the 11.30pm incident near the Pandan Jaya LRT station recently.

She was walking near the station when the duo, who were in a car, stopped and forced her to follow them, threatening her with a knife.

"As soon as the woman got inside, the men punched her in the face several times.

"They then took her to a bank and forced her to withdraw all her money via the ATM there," a source was reported as saying.

However, they were enraged when they found out that her balance showed only RM100 and started hitting her repeatedly.

"They threw the ATM card at her face and continued to beat her until she fainted," the source added.

The woman sustained serious injuries to her face and broke a tooth.

The source added that the thieves then dumped the woman by the roadside before leaving.

The woman regained consciousness when several passers-by helped her.
