KOTA KINABALU - Police believed that the suspects involved in the abduction of the two women from a resort off Semporna waters last night, are already in the Philippine waters.
Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Hamza Taib in a press conference here, confirmed that the group of armed men are no longer in Semporna or within Sabah.
"We have a lead .... We are now looking for individuals who can help in the investigation," he told reporters at the Sabah police contigent headquarters here.
He said the kidnapping is also believed to be for ransom but so far no ransom has been demanded yet.
