Second lorry driver killed on North-South Expressway identified

KAMPAR - The second lorry driver who was killed in an accident involving two lorries at Km 300.4 of the North - South Expressway (north bound) near here yesterday has been identified.

Kampar police chief Superintendent Ng Kong Soon said the deceased was 33-year old Muhammad Anissurahman Hassan from Taman Paya Jaras Permai jn Sungai Buluh, Selangor.

In the 9.15am incident yesterday, Anissurahman and another lorry driver Mohd Iswad Ramli, also 33, from Gemas, Negeri Sembilan died at the scene due to serious head injuries.

It was reported that Iswad had parked his lorry at the emergency lane of the highway to inspect his vehicle's tyres before another lorry driven by Anissurahman rammed into the parked lorry from behind.
