Shoppers in Malaysian mall tumble when escalator suddenly reverses

Shoppers at a shopping centre in Malaysia were left tumbling down like dominoes after an escalator in the mall suddenly malfunctioned.

A video of the incident has been circulating online, though it is unclear in which mall the incident occurred.

All Singapore Stuff shared the video on its Facebook page along with the caption: "A busy escalator in a Malaysian mall suddenly goes crazy and goes in reverse!"

A large group of people, including women with toddlers, had been on the escalator when the incident occured, and they can be seen falling atop one another, causing a huge human pile-up at the bottom.

A large crowd of people also gathered after the commotion.
