JOHOR BARU - Fresh from the lifting of his suspension, Datuk Tee Siew Kiong has announced his intention to contest for the Pontian MCA chief post.
The Pulai Sebatang state assembly was slapped with a three-year suspension by the MCA early July for accepting the appointment as a state exco.
Tee was also the division's former chief prior to the suspension.
When asked if he would vie for a higher spot in the party election at the end of the year, Tee said that he would make such decision based on the outcome of the division polls.
He was speaking to reporters after launching the Mid-Autumn Festival celebrations at Jalan Tan Hiok Nee here Thursday.
