Teen beaten to death over theft of construction equipment

A teenager was beaten to death by two men who had suspected him of trying to steal construction equipment, reported Makkal Osai.

The victim, Tony Vincent, 18, from Siddhartha Nagar in Bangalore, left his home at 9am on Tuesday to attend a cooking class at St Joseph's School. But he did not go to the school and the men found him roaming in Mathikere, a residential area in Bangalore City.

They accused him of trying to steal their equipment and an argument ensued. The men then beat him to death with pieces of wood.

The police found Tony's body lying near a gutter in Jalahalli, another area in Bangalore, with injuries on his chest and head. They arrested two men, Manjunath, 41, and Hanumanth, 32, in Mathikere.
