China Press reported that a Thai woman claimed that she was raped by an Immigration officer at the Machap Umboo Immigration Depot in Malacca.

The 28-year-old, through a friend, lodged a police report and told the Chinese daily on Tuesday about what had happened.

The friend, who is also a Thai national married to a local man, claimed that both of them were picked up at a massage parlour in Malacca, together with three other Thai women at 11pm on March 7.

"She was so afraid and asked me to lodge a report when I was released," she said, adding that she possessed a marriage certificate and travel document.
