Three more suspects in nude sports surrender

GEORGE TOWN - Three more suspects, including the alleged organiser of the Penang Nude Sports Games 2014, have presented themselves for questioning a day after Penang police chief Senior Deputy Comm Datuk Wira Abdul Rahim Hanafi released their details to the public.

The trio, all Malaysians, aged 24, 27 and 57, turned themselves in at the Balik Pulau police headquarters at 10.30am yesterday.

SDCP Abdul Rahim confirmed that two women and a man had surrendered, adding that a remand order will be obtained for the trio today.

He said three more Malaysians are still at large.

It was reported that 18 so-called naturists, including six women, took part in a series of nude activities on May 31.

A 40-year-old Malaysian and a 30-year-old Singaporean have since surrendered to the police and had their statements recorded on Aug 13 after a video of the activity surfaced online.

The five-minute video showed the participants naked on the beach in Teluk Kampi while taking part in activities such as body painting, a relay race and a group catwalk.
