PETALING JAYA - A school bullying incident has drawn the ire of Malaysians.

The 25-second viral video clip, which was taken in a classroom, shows a male student being beaten up by another student before the other classmates joined in.

The video starts off with an inaudible exchange of words between the bully and the victim, who is seated in his chair and cannot be seen as his back faces the camera.

All of a sudden, the victim is punched in the face and is dragged from his chair before he was kicked and punched further.

Tables and chairs were seen being pushed aside as the rest of the victim's classmates ganged up against him.

The video was posted on the Friends of Barisan Nasional Facebook page, prompting angry comments from netizens.

"Request for Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) to investigate this case and bring the guilty students to justice," Friends of BN posted on its page, tagging PDRM's Facebook page.

The video was shared more than 2,300 times and had garnered over 700 comments in three hours after it was posted.

In November last year, a five-minute video clip taken in a dormitory showed a group of male students being beaten up by another group.

In June, a video depicting a schoolgirl being brutally set upon by a group of female schoolmates also went viral and was subject to a police investigation.
