Wealthy woman gives 'branded' used underwear for flood victims

While most Malaysians are donating generously to flood victims in the country, some are taking the opportunity to discard expired foodstuff and old clothes, including used underwear, reported Nanyang Siang Pau.

Recounting his experience on Facebook, Chinese radio host Chong Keat Aun wrote that a wealthy woman had asked for his help to send some items to a collection centre.

However, he said, when he went to a storeroom at the woman's house, he found the items to be mouldy pillows, blankets, school uniforms and old underwear.

Chong said the woman claimed they were "branded items", which he could wash and send to the flood victims.

An unhappy Chong later uploaded a status on his Facebook, which read: "Flood victims also have their dignity. You are just a litterbug!".
