PEKAN, Malaysia - Malaysia will continue cooperating with other countries to prevent terrorist attacks such as those that took place in Paris from happening here.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said information was vital in preventing terrorist attacks and Malaysia would continue cooperation with other countries that upheld the same policies.
"If we can identify potential terrorists, we can prevent an attack before it can happen.
"From the internal security aspect, our agencies, especially the police, must have this capability by depending on public information and also its own jurisdiction."
This was why he had tabled a White Paper in Parliament two months ago to pass a new anti-terror law, he added. "The point here is to take action before an attack can happen."
