A woman was seriously injured after she and her husband were attacked by a wild boar in Kampung Beris, near Marang, reported Harian Metro.
During the incident at 7.30am on Sunday, Mohammad Abdul Rahman, 50, and his wife Esah Mat Hassan, 49, fell off their motorcycle when the animal charged at them.
The animal then attacked the duo, leaving Mohammad with a broken shoulder and his wife in a coma with injuries to her head and body.
Their daughter, Nor Asma Laila Mohammad, 29, said her father was sending her mother to work at Pasar Marang from their house in Kampung Kubu.
"When they reached Kampung Beris, a wild boar that was near the road became spooked by the sound of the motorcycle.
"It chased after the motorcycle and attacked my parents.
"The animal overturned the motorcycle and my parents fell and were injured," she said.
Nor Asma Laila said the animal ran into the forest when villagers came to help.
She said her father was in stable condition and her mother was being closely monitored at the Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital.
