Woman with suspected militants link nabbed

KAJANG - Police today arrested a woman, believed to be involved in militants activities, rounding up the total to ten members since yesterday.

The woman was detained earlier this morning in Kuala Lumpur.

Home Minister Datuk Seri Dr Zahid Hamidi said he believe that there are more than ten members of the group.

"The authorities are working to track each and everyone of them down," he said.

Zahid added initial investigation revealed that the group may have links with militant Islamic groups such as the al-Qaeda and Jemaah Islamiyah.

Yesterday, nine people, including a woman aged between 22 and 55 were rounded up in simultaneous operations in Kedah and Selangor by the Counter Terrorism Division of Federal's Special Branch Department in connection with militants activities.
