The First Lady of the United States turned heads as she walked down the red carpet towards a state dinner hosted by Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday night.
Melania Trump was decked out in an eye-catching Chinese-inspired Gucci gown. The floor-length dress was fashion designer Alessandro Michele's interpretation of the Chinese cheongsam, with phoenix and peonies embroidery, as well as fur-capped sleeves. Vanity Fair has called Melania's get-up as "fashion diplomacy, made in Italy". And Melania has surely been trumping the fashion department during her official visit to Asia with US President Donald Trump.
