SINGAPORE - McDonald's Singapore said on Monday that its latest customer-engagement initiative - the Surprise Alarm app - has achieved over 420,000 downloads and has given out more than 5.9 million "surprises".
The app, available on the iTunes app store and Google Play store, sends users a prize once a day when they wake up to an alarm set in the app. Prizes range from food and beverages coupons, images and music downloads.
Yvonne Low, McDonald's senior director of marketing, said: "Waking up in the mornings can be a dread for some and we hope that with these surprises that come along with the alarm, it will inspire all users to Get Up and Go every morning!"
The app is currently the No. 1 free app in the food and drink category on iTunes and the lifestyle category on Google Play, it said.
