New and featured gadgets of the week

Each week, the Digital Life team gives its take on notable and new tech gadgets. Here are this week's featured items:

DIGITAL CAMERA

Leica C
$990

This Audi-designed digital compact camera uses a 12-megapixel 1/1.7-inch image sensor - larger than those in most point-and-shoot cameras - with a 28-200mm lens.

You use its 3-inch 921,600-dot LCD screen or built-in 200,000-dot electronic viewfinder (EVF) to compose your pictures.

The C boasts Wi-Fi and Near Field Communications for wireless transfer of images as well as remote shooting using the Leica C Image Shuttle app (for Android and iOS).

PROJECTOR

Epson EH-TW5200
$1,499

Epson describes the EH-TW5200 as the most affordable 3-D model of its home theatre projectors.

It uses the same 480Hz 3-D drive found in several high-end Epson 3-D projectors.

Its horizontal keystone adjustment slider allows you to correct distortions easily and quickly.

EARPHONES

Jays a-Jays Five
$138

So, you have had it with those earphones that always end up as spaghetti in your bag. The new Jays a-Jays Five features a flat, tangle-free cable.

Made in one piece for strength and durability, the earphones have an angled form factor that follows your ear canal for maximum comfort, while their soft outer body allows flexibility and prevents cable stress. Available in black and white.

 GAMING PERIPHERALS

Razer Battlefield 4 Collector's Edition
Clockwise from extreme left: $229.90 (BlackWidow Ultimate keyboard); $119.90 (messenger bag); $24.90 (iPhone 5 case); $139.90 (Taipan mouse), $189.90 (BlackShark headset); $59.90 (Destructor 2 mat)

On Oct 29, the highly anticipated first-person shooter Battlefield 4 (B4) will be released. Prepare for battle with the Razer B4 Collector's Edition gaming gear.

Arm yourself with the B4 Taipan gaming mouse. Its 8,200 dots per inch 4G dual-sensor system and the responsive surface of the B4 Destructor 2 gaming mat will let you gain an unfair speed advantage over your virtual foes.

The B4 BlackWidow Ultimate gaming keyboard's mechanical keys deliver crisp tactile feedback, while the B4 BlackShark gaming headset lets you track incoming fire on the battlefield more clearly.

Use the B4 messenger bag with its tear-resistant ballistic outer shell to keep your gear protected. Top all these off by dressing your iPhone 5 with the heavy-duty silicone B4 iPhone 5 Protection Case.

SPEAKERS

Logitech Z50 Multimedia Speaker
$24

Logitech's new compact multimedia speaker, the Z50, is about as big as a standard paper cup.

A 2.25-inch driver in a deceptively petite build produces 5W of powerful sound.

It has a 3.5mm audio line for you to connect to any music device with no setting up required.

This speaker uses an AC power supply, so you will never need to recharge. It comes in blue, magenta and grey.
