Bosch Multi-Talent Food Processor, MCM68861GB, $449

For Mother's Day, buy Dad this food processor so he can help Mum with the grunt work in the kitchen. Bosch claims this food processor performs more than 50 functions.

This processor does not just grate, cut and chop. It also kneads dough, whips cream, squeezes citrus fruits and beats egg whites.

The mixing bowl is 3.9 litres, perfect for preparing food for a large family. It is powered by a 1,250 watt motor and uses a universal knife with an extra-large cutting surface and a serrated edge.

For Bosch's Mother's Day special, the food processor will be on sale at $50 off its usual price of $499. The promotion ends on May 11.

DIGITAL CAMERA

Casio Exilim-TR35, $1,199

Designed to take the perfect selfie, this compact digital camera recognises different ways to shoot pictures. You can wave at the lens, touch the screen or even use a smartphone to take pictures remotely.

A "Promotion Movie" function lets users create short HD-quality videos and personalise them with several visual effects and accompanying soundtracks. The clips can then be shared instantly on social media.

The 12.1-megapixel camera is powered by Casio's Exilim HS Version 3 engine with a dual-core processor said to deliver high performance and high speed processing simultaneously.

MUSIC PLAYER

Sony NWZ-B180F Walkman, $79

There may be days when you would rather use a dedicated music player than your smartphone.

The B180F Walkman has 4GB of space, enough for about 890 songs and 30 preset FM radio channels.

The battery life is lengthy as well, lasting up to 20 hours of playback, with a life cycle of about 500 recharges. Sony claims that a three-minute charge provides enough juice to last 90 minutes of play.

It is available in five colours.

SEWING MACHINE

Brother NV980K Hello Kitty Home Sewing Machine, $1,888

This machine by Brother comes with 196 embroidery patterns and 129 kinds of stitches to choose from, as well as 54 built-in Hello Kitty embroidery patterns.

It has automatic needle threading and automatic thread cutter features, making it simple to set-up and use. The LCD screen teaches you how to use the machine and even lets you save your own designs in the machine.

AUDIO ACCESSORY

Logitech Bluetooth Audio Adaptor, $49

If you want to play music from your smartphone on your home stereo system, this bluetooth audio adaptor can transform your speakers into a wireless sound system for your smartphone or tablet.

It uses a standard analogue RCA or 3.5mm cable. Its multi-point Bluetooth connectivity lets you connect two devices simultaneously as well as automatically re-pairing them. Logitech claims a reliable connection of up to 15m if they are within line of sight.

WIRELESS KEYBOARD

Ranger Touchpad BT Keyboard, $89

Tired of fat finger typos on your smartphone or tablet?

This keyboard from Ranger works with smartphones, tablets, notebooks and PCs. It is Bluetooth-enabled, meaning that it connects wirelessly. It remembers up to three paired devices and has an effective range of up to 10m.

The keyboard is light and compact, with only 76 keys. It also has an integrated touchpad with scroll and zoom functions, so it can even replace your mouse.
