POSB/DBS services hit by 'connectivity issue'

Some people using DBS and POSB ATMs and online services yesterday faced problems with their transactions because of a "connectivity issue", said the bank.

The problem, which reportedly started at about 10 yesterday morning, affected customers trying to withdraw cash and use their Nets cards. According to a DBS spokesman, "all services were fully restored at about 3pm" yesterday.

"We would like to reassure our customers that their accounts remain secure. We regret the inconvenience caused and thank customers for their understanding," added DBS, although it would not say how many of its 1,180 ATMs across the island were affected.

In separate Twitter posts earlier yesterday, both DBS and POSB said: "You may experience some delay with selected POSB services... Apologies for the inconvenience. We're...working to solve it."
