Cable-broadband services were down for some StarHub customers yesterday, with several claiming that they could not connect for more than six hours.
Going by comments from customers on StarHub's Facebook page, customers in various parts of the country, including Jurong East, Ang Mo Kio and Sengkang, were affected.
StarHub said the disruption started at about 9.55am and that "a small number of customers" who had turned off their modems the day before and turned them on again for the first time yesterday morning, had "experienced temporary difficulty in using our cable-broadband service".
Apologising to customers, the telco added yesterday afternoon that its network engineers have been progressively restoring service for affected customers.
StarHub also said that it had been informing customers of the disruption through social-media channels and its hotline.
The cause of the incident is still being investigated.
As of 6.30pm yesterday, some customers said on StarHub's Facebook page that their broadband connections were up and running, while others said they still had no service.
