StarHub cable broadband service disrupted on Wednesday morning

SINGAPORE - When contacted, StarHub acknowledged the problem but said that the disruption was "intermittent" and affected only "a small number of customers". It also said the problem affected only those who had switched off their cable modem the day before and turned it on for the first time this morning.

Details: Power blackout resulted in the loss of M1's 3G network services in the south-western part of Singapore. Partial 3G service in the affected areas was restored on the evening of Jan 15, 2013. Restoration works for all affected sites were completed at about 3pm on Jan 17, 2013 and full service was restored at 6pm on the same day.

Details: Technical difficulty on its fixed fibre broadband networks network. The problem was rectified by 3.15pm on the same day.

Telco: SingTel

Details: The service disruption caused some of SingTel mobile subscribers in the central region of Singapore, including Orchard, Tanglin and Telok Blangah, to experience intermittent difficulties in making and receiving calls and accessing SMS, MMS and mobile data services via SingTel's 3G network.The service disruption lasted a total of 22 hours.
