StarHub offers free viewing of over 100 channels
StarHub has reported a surprising rebound in the number of customers facing fibre broadband problems even though repair works on damaged cables have been completed.

SINGAPORE - StarHub is offering a free viewing of more than 170 channels as a gesture of goodwill for the cable TV disruption experienced by some of its customers on Sept 28.

From 12pm on Oct 4 to 12pm on Oct 11, StarHub cable TV customers can get a free preview of a wide range of channels, from news, lifestyle, education and sports to movies.

The channels include:

- BBC World News
- Discovery Channel
- HISTORY
- National Geographic Channel
- TLC
- AXN
- STAR World
- Asian Food Channel
- BBC Lifestyle
- channel M
- TVB8
- KBS World
- ONE
- FOX Sports
- STAR Sports
- All Sports Network
- STAR Cricket
- Sensasi
- Zee TV
- TVBJ
- VV Drama
- STAR Chinese Movies
- FOX Movies Premium

The following channels are on free preview only from 12pm, Oct 4 to 12pm, Oct 7:

CinemaWorld / CinemaWorld HD
- Disney Channel
- Disney Junior
- Disney XD / Disney XD HD
- Eurosport

The free preview will also be extended to TV Anywhere, allowing customers to access these channels on their mobile devices.

Due to a power supply issue, StarHub's cable TV services were inaccessible by some customers at about 1am on Sept 28. Most of the channels were up in an hour, while the rest were restored by 5.30am that day.

StarHub said in a statement that the free preview offering is to "assure our customers that we remain committed to providing them with quality service".
