SINGAPORE - When a reader of citizen journalism website Stomp unboxed his new 32GB iPhone 5S - bought at a telco's walk-in sale launch of the Apple smartphone - and turned it on, he was surprised to find 275GB worth of storage capacity listed on the device's settings menu.
In his report, the Stomp contributor wrote:
"I got the new iPhone 5S after queuing up for it for Starhub's walk-in sales launch at their Plaza Singapura outlet on Saturday (Sep 21).
"That day, I bought the 32GB phone but when I checked the phone's capacity the next day, it showed the capacity to be 275GB.
"I'm not sure if I should consider myself lucky to have a 'glitch' like this, or unlucky because it may be spoilt."
