SINGAPORE - Champions League matches will be available on the mio TV GO app, when Europe's elite football competition kicked off on Tuesday.

The app, which is available for free download for both Apple and Android mobile devices, allows subscribers of mio TV's sports channels to enjoy live streaming of 10 channels.

Viewers can find the channels showing the Champions League games (Ch111, 112, 113) under "mio Sports" in the Football tab section. The match schedules will appear from today.

The mio Sports channels also feature other football leagues such as French Ligue, German Bundesliga, Italian Serie A, English Npower championships and FA Cup.

The English Premier League matches will be streamed on the mio Stadium channels (Ch102, 103 and 104).

Users of the GO app can use the Football portal to access the latest EPL news, league table, match previews, team line-ups and other statistics.

They can also view live match commentaries and share comments with other users under the Shout Box section.

Besides sports, mio TV subscribers can also enjoy live streaming of four Asian channels - Jia Le Channel, ETTV Asia, ETTV Yoyo and Jiangsu Satellite Channel - on GO.

They can also use the app to view TV schedules, read synopses of favourite shows and watch trailers of the latest Video-on-Demand movies.

Content subscription fee of $5 per month will be waived till May next year.

Triple Play mio TV subscribers can pair the app with their set-top boxes and use their mobile devices as a remote control.

They can also programme their set-top box to record shows remotely with their mobile devices.

Since the start of the EPL season last month, there had been more than 300,000 visits to the app, and over 90,000 downloads as at the end of last month.
