Angelababy, Huang to wed soon?

Hong Kong - The big day for Chinese actor Huang Xiaoming and his girlfriend, Hong Kong actress Angelababy, might be near.

Huang and both their managers were not commenting on Tuesday on talk that the star couple are to wed at the end of the year and hold a wedding celebration in Beijing in the middle of next year.

They came out as a couple after four years of dating last February, when he flew to Hong Kong to celebrate her 25th birthday and faced the press holding hands with her.

The latest rumour has it that Huang, 36, had proposed to her in Seoul last month in his parents' presence and he was to return to his Qingdao city hometown to obtain a marriage certificate at the end of the year, Apple Daily reported.

Angelababy was also said to have withdrawn from the Derek Yee swordflick Sword Master because she was two months pregnant. But her manager said: "I just phoned Baby.

Baby laughed and said, is that true or false? How come I don't know anything about that?"

Huang himself was circumspect. Contacted on the telephone by Apple Daily, the actor, who is filming the John Woo movie The Crossing in Inner Mongolia, said: "I'm not commenting at this time."

They reportedly met at a karaoke session in Taiwan in 2009. When rumours that they were dating started, he denied breaking up her five-year relationship with singer William Chan, 28.

His answer to the press, "I don't know who William Chan is", became a catchphrase used to mock Chan.
