Family comes first for Beckham

Family comes first for Beckham
Victoria Beckham (centre) was in Singapore to showcase her collections to guests at two private events held at the ArtScience Museum at Marina Bay Sands and at designer shoe and accessory store On Pedder at Scotts Square.

Former Spice Girl turned designer Victoria Beckham was in Singapore to introduce her accessory collections for Spring Summer 2014 and Pre-Fall 2014. From bags to sunglasses, Victoria Beckham accessories are now stocked at On Pedder.

For her official appearance at the multi-label store on May 12, the mother-of-four opted for a cream frock with a fur-trimmed hemline.

The simple dress, which she teamed with a pair of matching white heels, oozed sophistication.

The ensemble showed off the 40-year-old's perfectly bronzed pins as she posed up a storm at the event, surrounded by adoring fans.

Beckham also had a more intimate session with 80 guests at the ArtScience Museum, which currently houses an exhibition of Annie Leibovitz's works. (I toured this particular exhibit, and heartily recommend fans of the famed photographer to do the same.)

The gallery, set in pastel blooms, allowed guests to get up-close and personal with Beckham as she presented her collections.

On whether she's looking to expand her business in Asia, Beckham told the press: "Yes, if the demand is here, and if Asian ladies like what I do (which they seem to be). They appreciate luxury and quality as well, which is something I pride myself on, so hopefully I'll be coming back."

In the same interview, Beckham stressed that her family comes first. "Most importantly will always be the children, and David, so I make sure I always take the kids to school, that I'm at school events, and making sure my work revolves around the children and their needs as well."

On what she would never be caught dead in, Beckham quipped: "A crop top."

Ever a social media queen, Beckham has been updating her followers on Twitter about her Singapore trip. Beckham jokingly called herself "alien" after tweeting a picture of her with glowing eyes at a presentation held at Marina Bay Sands (MBS); she described her hotel experience as "unique".

Wrapping up her packed schedule in Singapore, the former pop star took control of the DJ console. She tweeted a visual posing on the DJ deck, saying she was attempting to hone her skills.

Beckham then went super casual, tossing on a grey T-shirt and loose slacks. Sitting on a piano, she unwound with a sing-along session with close friend and hairdresser Ken Paves.

The session was held at one of the MBS suites, and yes, I would have done anything to be a fly on the wall that particular evening. After all, Beckham remains my favourite Spice Girl of all time. Viva forever!
