Famous for its scented candles and perfumes, French brand Diptyque will be rolling out a line of luxurious skincare products from next month. This is an extension of its nine-piece L'Art Du Soin bodycare range, which was launched in 2009.

Available at Escentials Paragon and Tangs Beauty, the five-piece facial skincare line is made with ingredients that smell good and are beneficial to the skin.

The Radiance Boosting Powder ($90), which contains verbena herb, citrus and neroli extracts, is a powdered cleansing formula that removes light make-up.

Infused with ylang ylang, mimosa, geranium, almond and jojoba oil, the Nourishing Cleansing Balm ($103) is our favourite.

The waxy formula becomes an oil when rubbed onto warm skin and turns into a milky emulsion when water is added. It can also remove waterproof mascara and foundation. Alternatively, spread a thick layer onto clean and dry skin and use it as a hydrating mask.

The Multi-Use Exfoliating Clay ($100) is concocted with violet and yerba mate leaf, white clay, rice and oat powder to detoxify skin. When used on dry skin, it works like a mask. Add water and it becomes a scrub.

The Infused Facial Water ($85), blended with damask rose and petit grain, is an alcohol-free toner which refreshes skin and prepares it for the rest of the routine.

The Protective Moisturising Lotion ($103), to be used last in your day skincare ritual, is a lightweight moisturiser with SPF15. It is made with orange blossom and petit grain.
