He's an all-round good guy

She gushed about local actor Christopher Lee and his "deep sexy voice" six months ago.

And she's still at it.

Sexy Taiwanese actress-model Sonia Sui, who was in town for the grand opening of Bonia's boutique at Westgate shopping mall yesterday, continued to sing praises of Lee, calling him a "charming, mature and handsome man".

The 33-year-old stars opposite 42-year-old Malaysia-born Lee in the drama Notice From A Bachelorette, which will air in November. She plays a woman who places an advertisement searching for love, and dates Lee's character.

When asked about him, Sui, who was in a sleeveless red dress, said in Mandarin: "When you get to know Christopher better, you will find that he is a big boy who is young at heart. He always makes everyone on set laugh and makes us feel happy."

The leggy 1.73m-tall model added: "He's also a very good actor who knows how to lead me into my role. He is very outstanding."

And she isn't Lee's only fan. Last year, sultry Taiwanese actress Tian Xin, 38, called him the perfect man after they starred in Taiwanese drama A Good Wife.

Sui also said she was envious of the love between Lee and his wife, local actress Fann Wong, 43, saying that they are "very loving and sweet".

"He will always talk to (Wong) on Facetime whenever he is free during filming. It makes bystanders like us look on in envy," she said. "I hope my future husband and I can be like that."

She added: "Chris only has eyes for Fann. He doesn't have me in his heart at all, except when we are acting."

Starting out as a fashion model, Sui ventured into acting in 2003 and made her mark as an outstanding actress in the well-received Taiwanese drama The Fierce Wife (2010).

Playing a conscientious wife whose husband cheated on her with her cousin, she was nominated for Best Leading Actress in a Television Series in the prestigious 47th Golden Bell Awards.

For now, Sui, who is single, said she is not under any pressure from her mother to get married soon.

Her eight-year relationship with Taiwanese actor Yao Yuan Hao, 32, ended in a high-profile split in 2012. Yao allegedly left her for Taiwanese actress-singer Cyndi Wang, 31.

While she finds the courage to love again, Sui says she has a specific type of guy in mind.

"I want to date someone who is humorous. He has to be able to make me laugh and make me happy."

Though she looks forward to getting hitched, she is not open to the idea of matchmaking as it makes her "feel embarrassed and awkward".

"It's fine if people arrange for me to meet another guy. Just don't tell me about it. If I find out, I will think it's very weird." But she does not believe in taking the first step.

"I will never take the initiative to chase a guy first. That's something I don't think I can ever do," she said.
