It's a boy! Actress Fann Wong gives birth on National Day

SINGAPORE - Local actress Fann Wong gave birth to a baby boy on National Day.

At about 8.40pm on Saturday, minutes after the National Day Parade had ended, the 43-year-old celebrity, who is married to fellow actor Christopher Lee, posted a photo of her newborn on her Instagram account (@fannaiaiwong).

Addressing the baby as Zed in the caption, Wong wrote in Chinese: "Daddy and Mummy cannot express the joy of seeing you in words, welcome to our family, because of you our lives will become fuller."

She added: "Aug 9 is the most gorgeous day for us...wishing everyone a happy National Day."

The post ends months of speculation about the baby's gender, which Wong and Lee had chosen not to find out. Within an hour it had garnered close to 7,000 likes and more than 300 comments congratulating the couple.
