Kate Pang gives birth to baby boy at home

TAIPEI - Local celebrity couple Andie Chen and Kate Pang welcomed their first child this morning at 6.30am.

According to a Lianhe Wanbao interview, Pang called her husband, who was filming in Ipoh, after her labour pains started at around 9am yesterday morning.

Chen reached their home in Taipei at around 8pm, a few hours before the baby's arrival. After 20 hours of labour pains, the 3.66kg baby was born.

The new dad helped cut the umbilical cord and teared up upon meeting their son for the first time.

Chen also shared that the delivery was filmed on a few cameras, and that his wife had chosen to give birth at home with the assistance of two nurses but without any epidural.

He will accompany his family for around 10 days in Taipei before returning to Ipoh to resume filming.
