Malaysian songbird Fish Leong now a proud mum

The major Chinese dailies were abuzz with the arrival of a baby boy for Malaysian songbird Fish Leong in Taipei on Friday.

She and Taiwanese husband Tony Zhao have named their first child Anderson, who weighed in at 3kg, China Press reported.

The couple, who married in 2010, has yet to decide on their son's Chinese name.

The proud dad posted a picture of him holding the baby on Facebook, with a message that he and his wife were looking for a godfather and godmother for their son.

Leong's mother had gone to Taiwan to take care of her daughter during confinement. According to the singer's manager, Leong was expected to return to showbiz in June.

Fellow artistes, including Malaysians Michael Wong, Gary Chaw and Victor Wong, congratulated Leong on becoming a mum and said they were considering special gifts for the baby.
