Manolo Blahnik struts back here

SINGAPORE - Manolo Blahnik is returning to the Singapore market after an absence of two years.

It will be restocked at the approximately 1,000 sq ft new multi-brand Takashimaya The Shoe Salon located at level 2 of the department store from next month.

Prices for the shoes range from $1,200 to $1,800. The brand is known for its sleek and comfortable heels and sophisticated embellishments.

It counts celebrities such as Madonna and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour among its fans.

The brand exited the Singapore market in 2011, after its distributor, Singapore socialite Jamie Chua, closed her two boutiques at Hilton Hotel Singapore and The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands.

The brand's new local managing partner, Mr Jeffrey Su, says he is planning for another concession and a stand-alone store. Other brands that will be stocked at The Shoe Salon include Chloe, Jil Sander and Giuseppe Zanotti.
