SINGAPORE - Launched in 1976, NUYOU, Singapore's leading Chinese fashion & beauty magazine of SPH Magazines Pte Ltd, will celebrate its 38th anniversary this year.

Terence Lee, the editor of NUYOU, said that in order to make this birthday memorable, the company aims to do it through this anniversary's issue.

September issue

NUYOU's September 2014 Anniversary issue, which is themed "Fabulous Ways to Celebrate", features Taiwanese celebrity Sonia Sui on a specially shot black and white cover. The tablet edition of NUYOU's September 2014 issue will feature special birthday video messages from 17 top personalities. They include Taiwan-based heartthrob Wu Chun and Singapore's Member of Parliament Mr Baey Yam Keng.

NUYOU is also giving away 38 goodies worth up to $30,000. They include a specially customised Le Pliage leather bag from Longchamp, a staycation at Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore, high tea for two at W Hotel, on-trend gadgets, luxury watches and beauty products.

Readers can visit the NUYOU website or the NUYOU Facebook page for a chance to win the gifts.

Collector's Edition Set

Designed specially by the NUYOU team, the collector's edition set contains the September issue and three Shiseido gifts worth up to $80. Only 1,000 of these limited edition box sets will retail exclusively at Kinokuniya at $18 each.

Mulberry for NUYOU tote bag

In October, NUYOU will end off its anniversary celebrations with a first-ever Asian collaboration with British luxury brand Mulberry. The design team in London created an exclusive tote bag for NUYOU, which comes free with every print copy of the October 2014 issue. The collector's item is a version of Mulberry's seasonal tote bag featuring an illustration of the Cara Delevingne Bag.

Collaborations

As part of the birthday celebrations, editor Terence Lee has been collaborating with three home-grown designers - Alfie Leong of A.W.O.L, Nic Wong of Cruise and Afton Chan of Still. Together, they designed three collections with 15 complete looks. Launched on 1 August 2014, the collections are currently selling exclusively in Robinsons Orchard till 31 August 2014.
