Pregnant Kate on 4-inch heels

Singapore-based Taiwanese actress Kate Pang may be 11 weeks pregnant but that did not stop her from strutting her stuff in 4-inch platform heels on the red carpet on Thursday night.

"I can still wear heels for now but I just cannot stand in them for too many hours. At least when I make an entrance, I still want to look pretty," the 30-year- old told reporters with a chuckle when asked about them.

She shocked her fans last week with the revelation that she is married to actor Andie Chen, 28, and that they are expecting a baby. They have been secretly dating for about a year.

Though she looked her usual svelte self at the awards show on Thursday, she said that she has noticed her body undergoing changes.

"My butt got bigger, my tummy got rounder and my boobs swelled," she said frankly, before giving an embarrassed laugh.

She will go and find out the baby's gender. "I want to know whether it is a boy or a girl, so that I can prepare for his or her arrival."

At the awards show, she was nominated for Best Actress In A Supporting Role for her part as a nerdy girl in Joys Of Life but lost to fellow actress Aileen Tan, 47.

Pang earned special mention as "highly commended" in the category.

Asked if she will take nude pregnancy pictures a la stars Demi Moore and Cindy Crawford, she said she and her husband have talked about it.

"But he is not keen because he doesn't want anyone else to see my naked body," she said, laughing.

"So if we were going to do this, he said the photographer would have to be female. We're still discussing it, so we'll see."
