Reasons why Taylor Swift isn't dating anyone right now

Taylor Swift doesn't have time for a new boyfriend.

The 'Red' hitmaker's best pal Karlie Kloss thinks she's a really "special girl," but admits she has never tried to play matchmaker for the 24-year-old singer because of her hectic schedule.

Asked if she's ever set Taylor up on a date, the Victoria's Secret model, who is dating Joshua Kushner, told UsMagazine.com: "I've been travelling. She's been travelling. No time for boys!"

But Karlie, 21, has no doubt that Taylor will meet her soulmate in the future.

She said: "She's true to who she is. She's such a special girl. I feel really lucky that we connected and our paths crossed. She's just a special girl."

The girls love hanging out together in New York City, where Taylor bought a US$19.9 million (S$25 million) penthouse apartment earlier this year.

She explained: "There's so much to do in New York. I love going to the ballet. Or a bike ride now that it's warm. There's a million and a half things to do in New York and that's why I'm so happy to have her here. It's good to have a friend."

Taylor - who previously dated a number of high-profile men, including Jake Gyllenhaal, John Mayer and Taylor Lautner - has been single since splitting from One Direction star Harry Styles in January 2013.

The '22' hitmaker previously claimed that most men are intimidated by her success.
