Kate Spade New York has launched an exclusive collection of accessories, consisting of scarves, handbags and jewellery, made by artisans in Masoro, Rwanda.
As part of the On Purpose programme to teach people in underprivileged communities to become suppliers for Kate Spade & Company, 150 women from the village were hired and taught financial literacy skills and to make handicrafts.
Kate Spade & Company owns Kate Spade New York, Kate Spade Saturday and Jack Spade. This is the first collection to come out of the programme.
Prices range from $60 for a friendship bracelet to $310 for a scarf. The clutch pictured is $130. Available at 03-27 Ion Orchard and Level 1 Takashimaya Department Store.
