BCA offers new degree with emphasis on 3-D technology

The Building and Construction Authority has partnered the University of Newcastle to offer a new degree - Bachelor of Construction Management (Building) Programme - on improving building productivity through the use of a three-dimensional technology.

The programme equips its graduates with a strong grounding in management and building information modelling (BIM). They will learn the application of BIM in the various aspects of the building environment.

The use of BIM for regulatory approval of building projects greater than 5,000 sq m will be made mandatory by 2015.
