PETALING JAYA - A security supervisor has claimed that his seven-year-old son was beaten, pinched and pushed by his teacher.
Apparently, the teacher was upset that Year One pupil Prishanthan Kumar was not doing his school work fast enough.
His father M. Saravanakumar, 38, said his son fell from his chair and suffered bruises to his left ribs and armpit during the incident at around 11am on Friday.
"This is not the first time this had happened. My son has been bullied ever since he started schooling here this year," he claimed.
He said that he had complained to the headmaster of the school in Cheras several times in the past but no action had been taken.
Saravanakumar said he wanted action to be taken against the teacher, adding that an apology would not suffice.
"How can teachers behave in such a manner?" he said when contacted.
Saravanakumar lodged a police report at the Sungai Besi police station the following day.
Cheras OCPD Asst Comm Mohan Singh confirmed the case, adding that investigations were ongoing under Section 323 of the Penal Code for deliberately causing hurt.
