Many youngsters are unaware of Singapore’s history. As a Singaporean, I feel it is important that all of us should know about major events in our country’s past.
When I ask my friends and relatives about these events, they are clueless.
If parents are unaware of Singapore’s history, their children would be no better.
Singapore may be a young country but this does not mean we have no history.
While we can read up on history in the library or online, museums can do more by setting up booths to tell the Singapore Story, like what our founding government did to make the country what it is today.
Through knowing our history, we will not take things for granted.
