Miss Zhou Yan Lin first came to Singapore from China three years ago seeking better educational opportunities.
After getting an advanced diploma in hospitality and tourism here, the 20-year-old had a big decision to make regarding which school to go to for her degree.
"I read up on different private schools in Singapore to find the one that I thought was best for me. I needed a school that is reliable and reputable for my degree course," she said.
In the course of her search, she discovered Informatics Academy.
Established in 1983, Informatics Academy provides quality education to more than 1,500 local and international students.
Miss Zhou is pursuing a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management from the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan).
"The first thing that attracted me to Informatics was the fact that it has been around for 30 years - much longer than many other private schools," she said.
The school received the EduTrust certification in 2010 - an award given to Private Education Institutions for maintaining robust academic systems and processes, and upholding quality standards in delivery of programmes.
