INDONESIA - Police officers had been deployed to safeguard high school national examination materials in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), ahead of students taking the exams on Monday through Wednesday, an official said on Sunday.
"We asked the police to guard the exam papers to avoid any leaks," Kupang Education Agency head Jerhan Adolf Ledoh said.
Jerhan said he expected the exams to run smoothly, as students had earlier taken several tryouts.
Separately, NTT Education and Culture Agency head Petrus Sinun Manuk said his office had received all the high school exam papers from printing company PT Temprina Media Grafika Surabaya.
"All the exam scripts have been distributed to high schools across the province," Petrus said, adding that 67,560 high school students would be taking the national exams in the province.
