SINGAPORE - Yellow, furry and cuddly mascots have been on the roam in Singapore lately, bringing cheer to people all around - from Orchard Road to NUS.
A Winnie-the-Pooh mascot was seen at the National University of Singapore's University Town recently, giving free hugs and taking pictures with students who are currently in the midst of their exams.
The mascot, which was carrying a sign "No stress, let Pooh give hug!" was well-received by students, who looked delighted to see a familiar face from their childhood.
The mascot was part of a project by The D.R.I.M., which aims to "create meaningful impact through collaborative projects".
Meanwhile, a less familiar character was spotted at *SCAPE and Mandarin Gallery by Stomp contributor Muhd.
However, that did not stop the mascot from putting smiles on the faces of passers-by as well.
"I went to *SCAPE to check out the flea market when a yellow mascot appeared with shopping bags in one hand.
"What character is this? I can't seem to identify it.
"When I walked to Takashimaya via Mandarin Gallery to meet my girlfriend, this monster was window shopping!
"There were no events or promotions in sight but this monster just roamed around.
"Some kids even stopped and requested to take photos with it, which the monster obliged.
"Even my girlfriend claimed that the monster is cute, but who is it?"
