The police on Sunday issued a traffic and security advisory for the upcoming Nomination Day on Sept 1.

Nomination proceedings will take place between 11am and 12 noon that day.

Supporters and members of the public are advised to use public transport as parking is prohibited at all nine nomination centres.

The centres will be open to the public only after 10am.

In addition, the police will step up deployment and conduct security checks in and around the centres.
