GE2015: SDP introduces third batch of candidates

SINGAPORE - The Singapore Democratic Party (SDP) has unveiled two more candidates on Thursday (Aug 27) for the upcoming General Election on Sept 11.

SDP Candidate Dr Paul Tambyah introduced fellow party members Mr John Tan and Mr Sidek Mallek during a press conference at their Ang Mo Kio headquarters. According to local media reports, SDP has not revealed where they will be standing.

Mr Tan, 54, is a social psychologist and a father of three while Mr Sidek Mallek, 55 is a compliance auditor and a father of four.

Mr Tan is also the vice-chairman of the SDP.

Today's introduction comes after the party unveiled four other candidates in the past two days: Healthcare administrator Ms Chong Wai Fung, accounts manager Mr Khung Wai Yeen, sales director Ms Jaslyn Go and NUS professor Dr Paul Tambyah.

The party has declined to mention where all their candidates will be contesting.
