Excellent service at the library

I visited Bishan Public Library recently and had to use the multimedia station to do some printing.

As I had to register as a new user, the librarian on duty, Ms Hanna Akbar, voluntarily accompanied me to the station and provided me with step-by-step instructions on how to use the system.

It might be a simple gesture but it was great to experience such professional and excellent service at the community library.

Prompt action by POSB

I discovered that the lamination of my POSB Everyday credit card had peeled off and was afraid that I would not be able to use it on a trip to Hong Kong a few days later.

I immediately called the POSB hotline and was assured by a customer relations officer that a new credit card would be sent by courier that same day.

Upon receiving the card, I called POSB to activate it and completed my transaction in 10 minutes.

I am impressed with the excellent and reassuring service provided by POSB, from my first call to my receipt of the new card, all within 12 hours.

Patient bus driver a good example

I was on SBS Transit bus service 65 on Sunday morning, when a man who looked like he was in his 60s wanted to alight.

He rummaged through his bag for at least a minute, looking for his ez-link card, with the bus driver waiting as he did so.

The man finally found the card, tapped it at the exit and alighted.

I commend the driver for his patience towards the commuter.

I hope this commendation will be a source of inspiration and an example for other bus drivers to emulate.

Lost wallet returned overseas

I lost my wallet in a shopping mall while on a trip to Singapore recently.

When I returned to France, I received an e-mail from Ms Amy Wong, who contacted me through information on a business card she found in my wallet.

She said that she would try her best to get my wallet back to me.

All the contents were still in the wallet when I finally received it.

Such honesty has left a deep impression on me about Singaporeans.
