Extend SG50 bonus to all

It is encouraging to hear that a $500 bonus will be given to civil servants ("Civil servants to get $500 in special SG50 payment"; yesterday).

However, it is disheartening that Singaporeans who work in the private sector will miss out on this jubilee celebration.

Stay-at-home mothers who are taking care of the next generation and retirees will also not be similarly rewarded.

Would the Government consider giving this bonus to all citizens in their Central Provident Fund accounts instead?
