Kovan murders: Acknowledge those who help fight crime
This silver Toyota Camry with the licence plate number SGM 14J was found abandoned at Eunos Avenue 7, with blood stains on the right headlight and the rear, on 11 July 2013.

SINGAPORE - The Royal Malaysian Police deserve special mention and thanks for their timely assistance in helping to arrest the Kovan murder suspect.

Likewise, the driver who noted the car's licence plate number when she saw the vehicle dragging the younger victim should be singled out for praise.

Carpenter Francis Yeo, who called the police after spotting the missing car in Eunos, should also be commended.

The episode proves that when problems arise, people here are willing to step forward to help. The police should publicly acknowledge the efforts of members of the public who help to fight crimes.
