SINGAPORE - We thank you Mr Yeo Eng Huat for his feedback and support ("Lower-quality World Cup telecasts"; Tuesday).
He called our hotline on June 21 and spoke with our customer care consultant, who proceeded to run the necessary troubleshooting tests with him. Despite having ensured that everything was in order, a service call by a field technician was arranged for June 22 at Mr Yeo's request.
Upon further investigation on-site, the field technician verified that Mr Yeo's set-top box was in good working condition and was receiving the correct transmission signals.
Following Mr Yeo's letter, we once again tested and verified that there were no network or technical issues pertaining to the cross-carriage of World Cup content on StarHub TV.
We reiterate that in line with the cross-carriage regime, StarHub only cross-carries World Cup content received from SingTel. We do not carry out any actions that would alter, impair or degrade the viewing experience of the cross-carried World Cup content.
