Offer jobs, scholarships if women do NS

There has been much discussion about whether women should perform National Service.

Women can serve the country in non-military areas such as in hospitals and nursing homes.

To encourage, motivate and inspire them to undertake national service in whatever form, the Government should provide incentives and recognition to those who take up the challenge.

One way to do this is to offer jobs to such women.

Singapore is facing a shortage of doctors and nurses and it would be a win-win situation if scholarships are also offered to those who perform their duties with dedication and commitment.
