Last Saturday, I travelled in my friend's car to the Central Business District (CBD) and was surprised to see very few vehicles and people in the area.
The eatery we went to was almost empty.
The proprietor told us people have been avoiding the area because of Electronic Road Pricing (ERP), even though the gantries at Eu Tong Sen Street and Fullerton Road are operational only from 12.30pm to 8pm on Saturdays.
With more people heading to the Marina Bay area, is ERP in the CBD still necessary on Saturdays? I hope the Land Transport Authority will consider removing it.
