Stubbing out smoking in Botanic Gardens

We thank Ms Rene Yap Bin Ping for sharing her concerns with us ("Smoke-free park"; July 7).

The Singapore Botanic Gardens has been taking action to discourage smoking in the Gardens. Staff inform smokers that smoking is not allowed when they make their rounds, and issue notices of offence. "No smoking" signs are also displayed at our entrances and mapboards.

We urge all visitors to abide by the smoke-free rule and help keep the Gardens a pleasant place to visit.

For any further feedback, Ms Yap is welcome to contact us on our helpline (1800-4717-300) or e-mail us at NParks_Public_Affairs@NParks.gov.sg
